Bio

JJ de Vries Robbe

I learnt the ropes in private practice at De Brauw, challenged by great minds on international finance and litigation. At investment bank NIBC I helped to pioneer securitisation and credit derivatives. With my young family I pursued my dream in Australia at Minter Ellison, and in-house at ANZ. I started writing on structured finance, and joined the University of Melbourne and the University of Sydney as a fellow of their highly recognised Masters of Law program. I am grateful to be working with diverse and engaging groups of students for more than 15 years. At development bank FMO, together with my team of dedicated legal professionals and other colleagues, I am able to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals on a daily basis, including for instance green bonds, impact investing and micro-finance.
